I’m tired of all this resentment
That I so blindly lead.
It’s just an unredeemed side,
That lacks the best of me.

I do it all right,
And thus I am wrong.
For that unredeemed side of me
Has been there all along.

I’m finished I’m through,
And thus I begin.
I step into that house of joy
To cleanse away this sin.

Covered and built on
Not too easily seen.
I guess it is that foolish heart of mine
That’s brought about the end of me.
