Here is yet another poem. But this is for someone else.

For a Magnificent One

Oh how your love shines through.

You’re more than beautiful to me.

How is it that I am to express you?

You’re more than beautiful to me.

You make the world so bright.

You bring so much joy to me.

I love you with all my might.

You bring so much joy to me.

You took my heart and built it.

Tell me, how do I deserve you?

You took my hope and filled it.

Tell me, how do I deserve you?

For you my Magnificent one,

Have changed my heart to gold.

And with this heart you’ve won,

A new beginning will unfold.

You know as my life goes on I want to see things get better. Not just for me but those around me. I found someone lately who is down in hope. I wrote her a poem for her birthday, not out of romance or anything, just out of friendship. She may not know it but people care about her more than she thinks. I’m one of those people. I hope maybe my presence on earth and just that small gift of words I gave her, has helped her in some way. And I pray she never gives up hope, and continues to make everything her best.

Hold her fast, guide her lord,

And help her spirit grow.

Make this one a masterpiece,

One that all may know:

            Is kind at heart,

            Gold in sole,

            And with all your love

            Is full,

            With happiness,

            Delight,

            Compassion,

            And your light.

Keep her close to you, oh Lord!

Make sure that she is seen.

Help her live the fullest life,

As through you, she turns seventeen.
