AHHHH!!!!

Globat has failed me again. So I was really wanting to roll out a nice Facebook plugin for wordpress that would allow us to search through our facebook photos and things, but Globat has prevented me from doing this in every way.

The Plugin I want to use runs only in php5. It seems php5 has been finally installed on our sever, but you have use a .php5 extension instead of the default .php extension. This means that in order to run the plugin, I’d have to go through every single file and bit of code in wordpress to make it work with php5. Unless I could use a .htaccess file to rewrite the site from .php to .php5!!! BUT….

Globat has not enabled that either. I have been thoroughly disappointed with Globat the entire week. Now I’m thinking about switching hosts if this keeps up…

On top of that… I didn’t get my civilization game today… sad day… :(

A Series of Dreams

So… a very interesting dream found its way into my head last night. Just about everyone at JBU starred in it. Let’s see. I think the most memorable part of my dream was when Amanda, Jenny, Grant, Brandon, CJ, and I all went to some rodeo type thing on the quad. It was an old and rather large indoor amphitheater/arena. We were going there to eat dinner so we got a table on the ground level, but the ceiling above us kept leaking rusty water on us (mostly me) and it was ruining the white shirt I had on.

I moved to the other side of the table and it continued to leak on me and then it started to leak on everyone else. I started getting really mad and called the waiter over and started to yell at him (cause that’s what I’d do in real life :P ) but I noticed that it was basically raining on everyone in the building. Then the floor that we were on started flooding with water. I started to panic because I couldn’t swim, I tried telling everyone but the water was up to my head by the time I had said that.

The water’s current carried me down into what was like an entrance tunnel (like where football players come out in a stadium). I started to drown and actually did drown before I was saved by Lifeguard CJ, lol. Thanks CJ. While everyone else swam to safety on their own. For some odd reason it was not wet outside the building where CJ threw me to. I laid on the ground unconscious but she revived me. Once revived I starting freaking out and worrying about the rest of the gang. CJ said like 8 people died in the crowd (not the best thing to tell someone who is freaking out), which only made me freak out more cause it could have been someone in our gang that died!

Fortunately, all my friends knew how to swim well and they got out safely. At the same time, though, I was mad at everyone cause they all swam away while I was left drowning, lol.

[A shift in the dream...]

We were all getting into the station wagon, but it wasn’t my friends. It was a bunch of people that I didn’t know (figure that out). Anyway, one of the women in the car had some psycho boyfriend who just happened to have a sawed off shot gun. Suddenly, everyone in the car was a girl but me and one of them hit him in the head with an aluminum baseball bat. He laid on the ground in pain while his girlfriend started the car. He shot out the back tire so we couldn’t go. All the girls started throwing their baseball bats at him. It seemed like the thing to do, so I picked up a baseball bat by the end and threw it at his head knocking him out.

[shift in dream]

Back at JBU land… Grant, Hernando, Hernando’s unknown girlfriend, and Jose, and I were all best of friends heading towards the caf to eat. Suddenly, we were all in the registrars office battling some unknown figure with our Nerf guns that actually were shooting this weird melted play-doh matter.

[dream changes]

And the rest of the dream was really spastic. Leslie and my sisters were in it. Something to do with the third tier parking lot of Walker and a swimming pool, lol.

The End

Typsetting the Holy Bible

Feb

It’s really interesting to see how much work can go into designing just a single page. I’ve been working on typesetting just one page of the Holy Bible, John 15-16, and it’s taken well over 5 hours, lol. Although this assignment is taking quite some time, I’m actually enjoying it. I think I might be getting the hang of typography. I want to implement it more into my design work, though it’s very different in the web design world right now.

I’m very excited about the MKCBlogs site, if you can’t tell. It just feels so clean and simple. I love that. I’m trying to make the user interface a bit more simple. Grant and I have some plans for the MKCBar at the top of the page. I’ll be adding some new features to the sidebar too. It’s kinda hilarious how eager and excited I can get about design.

Love you God!
